Summary
Times never seemed bleaker on the once lively planet of Duron. The merciless demons fought incessantly. All of them collectively wondered: How did it get to this point? How did they get from having the upper hand to having their lives in tight clenches of the Emperor Thanatos’ hands? Inch by inch, moment by moment, they felt their lives slipping out of their control. For the Duronians, this was real! They could see him soaring high in all his might and fiery wrath that he was ready to inflict on them at any second. All of it was coming without regret, without another thought. If they knew Thanatos, and they did, it was evident that their end was, in fact, very near.
