When the Rev. John D. Seymour, archdeacon of Cashel and Emly, realized that, although he had included several 17th-century ghost stories in his book Witchcraft and Demonology, there was no other published collection of Irish ghost stories. He determined to right that wrong, and True Irish Ghost Stories is the result.

These are simple yet compelling stories, told by ordinary, and some not so ordinary, people of Ireland; amazing tales, not only of ghosts, but of poltergeists, banshees, spirit-filled houses, ghostly carriages, animal spirits, and warnings of death. If you enjoy tales of the supernatural, this is a must listen.

good stories but a hard listen.

the stories themselves are interesting but listening to a computer generated voice read them makes it very hard to get wrapped up in any of them. listened for over an hour
