About this listen

A boy. A girl. A bump. Trouble. A smart, touching and funny contemporary young adult title from an extraordinary new talent.

Hannah's smart and funny.... She's also 15 and pregnant. Aaron is new at school and doesn't want to attract attention.

So why does he offer to be the pretend dad to Hannah's unborn baby? Growing up can be trouble, but that's how you find out what really matters.

The performances are good. As for the story, it's got a bit of everything in there - all parts of life. There are some predictable story moments - like who the father turns out to be. But, there are also lots of sweet, emotionally satisfying moments and plot surprises.

This book definitely doesn't shy away from the fact that underage sex happens. But, any details given are not gratuitous. This also perfectly captures how friendships can form, strengthen, fade away or implode.

Sometimes predictable, often surprising
