This simple, wholesome series suitable for family reading becomes more engaging in this second volume. Orlena is beginning to settle into the life at her brother’s ranch but finds she cannot overcome her temper and selfishness on her own. The gospel is clearly presented in the story to another newcomer and this helps her to think about her need of a Saviour.
Narration clear but a little flat.
