Rick Richardson was a writer. He was good, too, despite what the reviews might've said. They said his writing was bad, but Rick knew that wasn't true. He knew the real reason they didn't like his books was because of the content. You see, Rick wrote "splatterpunk"...it was understandable that people might be triggered by the graphic nature of his stories. But then again, that's what the trigger warnings were for.
Also, they kept saying writers should only "write what they know". But Rick didn't know anything about real horror...Well, maybe it was about time he found out....

I bought this one directly from Harrison as I’ve seen it’s so many people’s favs & I can totally see why!! I LOVED this, the humour, the unhinged level increasing as the story went on…perfection 👌🏻
Rick Richardson is an author, a pretty good one (in his eyes) too. He loves splatterpunk. The only thing is he keeps getting reviews from people that quite obviously don’t understand the genre!
Despite putting the trigger warnings out there on all of his books he still keeps getting low reviews telling him how “wrong he is for writing such things”, he clearly doesn’t know how to write “normal” horror, he is “disgusting” and the most common one “Rick should stick to writing what he knows about”
So in Ricks logical mind he decides that he needs to start doing the things he writes about…that way he knows how to portray it on paper & his sales will rocket!

I know I said ‘even after death’ was my fav Phillips read BUT this has taken over by a long shot. I listened to it on audible (thank you for the code 🫶🏻) and that narrator elevated the story, I was laughing at Rick so much!
He just got more and more crazy as the story went on. I had the 🤦🏼♀️ oh no Rick what’s next face going on 🤣
LOVED IT!! If you like humour mixed with horror & a healthy dose of wtf gore then this is defo one for you!! 🤎
