In der "Park Lounge" feiern zwei Familien ihre Verbindung. Die Braut stammt aus dem Rheinland, eine Tochter aus bestem Hause. Der Bräutigam ist gebürtiger Berliner und in der Stadt als Unternehmer sehr erfolgreich.
Polanski und Lehmann, die Kommissare des Berliner Landeskriminalamts, suchen unter den Hochzeitsgästen nach Zeugen. Sie stoßen auf Widersprüche in den Aussagen der Gäste und bald auch auf verborgene Konflikte in den Familien. Die Hochzeitsgesellschaft wird eine Nacht lang intensiv befragt. Als die Sonne über dem Park aufsteigt, ist der Täter gefunden. Und die Welt zweier Familien liegt in Trümmern.
