About this listen

In this groundbreaking work, psychiatrist Dr. Eric Berne introduces a new method for understanding and analyzing human behavior, known as transactional analysis or "TA", which examines the interactions, or "transactions," between individuals and the ways in which they change in response to each other. Core to TA is the thesis that humans, as social organisms, are capable of adapting and changing in response to others. Though developed more than a half century ago, TA continues to shape the field of psychiatry and remains required listening for anyone investing the subject.

Lots of mispronounced words. Incorrect cadence and pauses in the wrong place meant it was very difficult to listen to and made assimilation of the information quite hard with the mispronounced words.

Very badly narrated

Bad voice and reading. Sounds worse than early AI… do not waste time at all

Dill voice and made the information uninteresting.

I was really looking forward to listening to this book, as a way of being able to conduct my studies while I was walking my dog, however, the way in which it was narrated was unbearable and I had to return the book. I will read it instead.

Very hard to listen to

Abandoned 1 hour in. The narration is appalling- dreary stilted voice, sentences mashed and practically every sentence had a mispronunciation, of everyday words.
The book is a classic- why did Audible allow this incompetent and semi literate person to voice it???

Total failure of Quality Control!

Although this book was interesting, it was incredibly frustrating to listen to because of the brutal narration. So many words were mispronounced throughout, not just technical terms but everyday words, which spoiled the book. TA is a fascinating model and I don’t understand why a competent narrator wasn’t found to do Berne’s work justice.

Interesting but the worst narration ever
