About this listen

The proven, effective strategies on training your own service dog!

Do you have a handicap that makes it hard to go out? Are you suffering from panic attacks and anxiety? Do you wish there was a way where you can easily do daily tasks and get the companionship you need? If you said yes to these questions, then a service dog is for you.

Not only do service dogs help give physical support (such as opening doors, turning light switches on and off, and fetching objects), they also offer companionship and alert others when you’re going through a medical crisis. However, service dog training can be expensive and may put a strain on your budget.

But there is a way around it! Training Your Own Service Dog by expert animal trainer Patricia Lambert walks you through the entire process step by step!

In this game-changing guide, you will:

Help your dog become calmer and non-reactive: In times of stress and anxiety, with the right training tools, you can rely on your dog to help you manage negative emotions and prevent panic attacks.

Help your dog become confident and motivated: Your dog needs to be alert in order to help you in times of an emergency. Using tips found in this book, you can train your dog to become more confident in seeking help or remembering its training in emergencies.

Help your dog resist becoming too social: Dogs that are easily excited can do more harm than good for its owner. Learn how you can train your dog to not get easily distracted so they can do a better job at helping you when you need them.

And so much more!

Thousands of people have had success in training their own service dog. Give your dog the best tools they need to become an even better companion with Training Your Own Service Dog!

Needed this since my dog has endless energy, and this book gave me new ways to guide that energy in a positive direction. Little by little, he’s becoming more focused and easier to train, which feels like a big win for both of us.

At 8 weeks old, my puppy started her training. She picks up the commands quickly. I give her goodies as a reward. She typically picks up new commands in 2 days or less. She is quite tough to handle while we are out in public, so I have halted her progression in the book. So, until she listens better, we'll continue to use the orders she is familiar with. She is 4 months old and already knows the words "settle," "leave it," "touch," "forward," "left," and "right."

This book has been very insightful in helping to identify which types of dogs make good service dogs. It was interesting to learn that service dogs use different commands than regular family dogs. It was a quick and easy listen, and I recommend this audiobook to anyone who is interested in learning more about service dogs.
