An old man's hermetic desert existence is interrupted by three headstrong gangsters whose car breaks down, the trunk of which holds over half a million dollars of stolen casino money. The criminals try to take refuge at the man's shack, holding him hostage but they underestimate the scrawny self-reliant loner. Stacy Keach brings this short noir thriller to life with his deep voice and rich tone, voicing the criminals' wisecracks and narrating in the style of an quality old radio drama.
Summary
A major casino robbery turns sour when the getaway car breaks down in the desert. The robbers come across a nearby cabin but it is inhabited by an old loner. The three robbers try and hold him hostage, but he escapes. It becomes their biggest mistake.
