About this listen

Taking her is my right. Breaking her, my duty.

I was always going to choose Helena. I knew it the instant I saw her.

She’s different than the others. There’s a darkness about her. Something wild inside her. And it calls to the beast inside me.

But she isn’t what I expected. With every word and every touch, she pushes me, burrowing deep under my skin, challenging the rules, and upending history.

And all the while, I see how my brother watches her. He wants her, and as the rules stand, she’ll become his in one year’s time.

Except that I have no intention of giving her up.

Author's Note: Torn is the second and final audiobook of the Dark Legacy Duet.

What a great conclusion for Sebastian and Helena's story. Natasha Knight kept me on the edge of my seat again. Wow I love the twist and turns this story takes.
Narrators Michael Pauley and Mackenzie Cartwright did A fabulous job bringing these Characters to life.

Torn is the continuation of the Dark Legacy Duet and it picks up soon after the ending of the first book. I was somewhat surprised by the turn that occurred in chapter 11. After finishing the book, it makes sense why the author took it in that direction. As if there wasn't already enough conflict amongst the characters, this added another level to the story, not to mention the intensity. It made me anxious listening to some of the scenes because there was always the potential for things to take a really bad turn. The book does have a happy ending for the 2 MCs and also provides closure regarding the history between their two families. Once again, the narrators did a great job of performing this story and bringing it to life.

Loved this! So happy to hear the end of the story of “The Willow Girl”. Picking up where Taken ended, this book is every bit as dark and intense and an overall fantastic listen from start to finish. Amazing performances from both narrators! I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

This was a phenomenal read, as was the previous one. I was completely immersed in Helena and Sebastian's world. It's full of suspense and so very much steam. I loved that I had no idea what was happening next. Love this author and the narrators.

Phenomenal

Taken was a very intense listen, so it makes sense that the author starts this book in the same fashion and then takes the intensity down a little bit to give us more emotion and feeling. The author seems to normalize the characters more in this book while still maintaining the dark nature of the overall story. I thoroughly enjoyed taking a detour into the darker side of romance with this author's work and will look forward to more by her as well as additional books in this series. Also, what a great ending!

These narrators gave a wonderful performance and made this listen fly by like it was nothing. I would have liked it to be tad bit more seamless when we switched points of view and narrators. The narrators stayed consisted with Taken and captured the dark nature of the story well.

Great Sequel to Taken
