Not really to my taste if I am honest. I personally didn't enjoy it as much as other books by this author. I found the back story was more about the crime details rather than the romance. The hero seemed to change character half way through. The heroine kept changing her mind every chapter. Pity as I really like the author.

Lovely story with nice characters. Thoroughly ruined by lousy narration. Would a normal DS like Megan really speak like the queen? I think not. Reg the hard nosed drug dealer sounded like Julian clary ffs!

The woman stayed a string character throughout the story. Unfortunately the male of the story was an alpha male type

This definitely is not Chicklit or romantic comedy.
Police stings, Court, Stabbings, Murder, drugs and alcoholism!
I am relieved it is a free included book.
This is a heavy listen especially when the Detective finds a child's body 💔
