About this listen

Celeste Caffarelli (nicknamed CeCe) has been caught off guard by Cupid's arrows intended for another person. She's fallen in love with the wrong type of man. Without warning, Celeste is carried away with a man she didn't even know existed, but soon he'd become her first love.

Living with her parents, the turmoil was always so great that it drowned out any hope of life. The ties that bind a family together had also become chains prisoners wear and a noose about her neck. Those restraints held her chastised and rebuked for even speaking to her new lover. Pushed and pulled as if she were a puppet instead of a person, Celeste is forced to make an impossible decision. A devastating decision that will not only tear her from her lover's arms but destroy another man's life as well.

The plan was for CeCe to carry out the carefully laid strategy as directed by her self-righteous mother by executing every deed as she was ordered. And with any luck she'd find a man suitable and acceptable to her family, but he wouldn't know that he hadn't been her choice.
