The pantry with no means of exit, three titled ladies opening said pantry door...... a very unlikely scenario. Neither the story nor the narrator could motivate me to listen past the first few chapters.

Forgettable

Not much story - could have been reduced to novella length as the ‘I shouldn’t / have to protect him from my father’s reputation’ became wearing. The individual elements/ occasions were well written, there were just too many and it became boring.

Slow

The stubbornness of the female family members, we’re especially annoying. The resistance went on far too long. I was sympathetic to the males plight. And was happy to see his backbone shine through. And she still resisted. The end was rushed and words used straight from JA. Not impressed.

Navel gazing to the extreme

Well written, a bit tedious she wants him but she won't marry him. Not too boring though and although you already know the end it has interesting bits in between. I would say it's worthy a listen.
