Not my usual type of read but it was ok, nice horse chase at the end to make a change. The story unfolds with a few twists and turns and a few dead ends, but it's of a time. Cricket is discussed far too much. The story is pleasant and charmingly told with good characterisation, it's just not for me.

Old school copper murder mystery, it's OK.

Love these old fashioned thrillers and this is a railway detective which is a bit different to normal police thrillers but on the same lines.
As always when a crime is done in a different area the railway police are not welcome as this area has it's own police, but have not made a good job of any of their cases.
Could do with a few more like these as they are a pleasant to listen to.

Good Old Fashion Thriller

What a delightful book. It was so nice not to have details of the investigators going off the rails or hitting the buffers. No mobile phones. No computers. Just good old fashioned sleuthing. Good result and good ending. Yup, enjoyed this one very much.
