Summary

"Once in a while right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale."

I saw that quote about fairy tales embroidered on a decorative pillow at a home decorating store. Honestly, it pissed me off. Retail propaganda aimed to promote sales when any single girl in the city could tell them they'd sell more if they'd offer Keep Your Pants On, Asshole instead.

But it's fine. I don't have room for decorative pillows anyway.

And I don't have time for distractions.

Which is why I'm ignoring the distraction staring at me right now. The one who looks like he belongs on a billboard campaign. The one with the full lips and the cocky smile. The one refusing to look away even when I give him my best "no way" scowl.

The one headed in my direction. Right now.

This Dynamic Duo Does It Again!!

What a tease!!!!

This audiobook was soooo good but too short! I need more of this story and these characters. Lauren was fun, uninhibited and refreshingly normal! Max was sexy, playful and completely swoon worthy! I loved that these two have a whirlwind relationship from day 1. This novella is proof that Jana Aston is a phenomenal writer because I normally don't like standalone novella's, they are always insta-love and I find it to be so hard to connect with the love story when it has no history but I loved this novella and this couple! I was rooting for the love story from chapter 1 because this author knows how to sell insta-love!

I would have bought this audiobook based on the narration alone! Erin Mallon is my favorite narrator. She is great at all things audio but she does playful and sexy so well that I get lost in the story each time I listen to her narrate this type of story! And I know I've said it a million times but man her male voice gets me every time!!!

I'm so in love with Max!

What an adorable, hot, sweet story. I fell in love w/Max from the beginning, and glad Lauren caught up w/me. This was a quick, sexy read, but still a great story w/an HEA that has that special Jana twist.

Erin Mallon does her usual magic covering both voices, but I'm so in love w/her male narrations. She truly has a gift that makes the audiobooks so much better!

Story rating: ★★★★★ - Gah, I wish I had Lauren’s life! That’s why I eagerly read this one for the 2nd time back in October. It was so easy to slip into her life and cheer her on as she triumphed over a crappy boss and attracted a fantastic boyfriend who’d had his eye on her for months as she updated her book blog in the coffee shop they both frequented. And the engraving Lauren and Max each chose for the other’s rings were so perfect!

I can see myself listening to this one yet again when I need a quick mood fix because it was such a fantastic pick me up romance.

Not as good as her other books

I listen to this one after listening to right, wrong, trust. I'm guessing this must've been some of her earlier work because the plot is sort of nonexistent and I just couldn't figure out why the character seemed to like each other so much.

Short stories are the best stories

I loved this short audible by Jane Aston. As I've purchased Short and sweet. Straight to the point with a a little bit of a backstory to boot! I just love Erin Mallon's narrator voice. The switch from male to female voice was done eloquently.

Short story but very sweet and very interesting. Total HEA. The story started kind of sad, but it got good and interesting very quickly.

Adorable Rom-Com

Jana Aston has got to be one of the funniest authors I've met! Times Square was originally published as part of an anthology. While Jana might be one of the "newer" authors in the anthology group, her contribution was a stand out story! Max and Lauren have explosive chemistry and they're adorable together! The premise is hilarious. The conflict was a bit trite and too easily resolved, but the genre doesn't need to have major angst and and big conflicts. Loved Erin Mallon's narration; I appreciated listening to the story even more than my prior reading of the book.
