Summary
Imagine a world without money, a world where everyone is biologically connected to a computer in order to survive and The Foundation determines your "Timeline" by how much you contribute to society. Detective Cole Sands lives in that world and is oblivious to any other. Until, that is, he is tasked to investigate the suspicious death of an old man and his investigations lead him into an underground world, where people have gone to extreme measures to break away from The Foundation and live a life determined by nature and not by a computer. Cole doesn't know who to trust as his two worlds collide in a rush of violence and death as he struggles to survive and get to the truth.
