About this listen

I struggled to get past how annoying some of the main characters were. It failed the; ‘but do I care’ test. Beautifully written though.

I found this novel disappointing. As one review said - more a series of linked vignettes then a novel. Many of the event described are depressing and it has a depressing outlook in general. You are very much trapped inside this woman's mind. The reader can't really tell whether she's mad or sane, meek or controlling, nasty or nice. Wouldn't recommend.
