Summary

Thursdays aren't simply another day of the week for Amy Spencer and Ellis Hall. Thursday afternoons sizzle with no-strings sex for the two women, who meet each week in a hotel room to forget their past - and their present.

The arrangement works perfectly for Amy, a busy surgeon who's still smarting from a failed relationship. For Ellis, Thursday afternoons act as a pressure valve from her cutthroat job and the mistakes in her personal life she's trying to rectify.

But soon the pair discover that their outside worlds are on a collision course with the carefully constructed world they've created on Thursday afternoons.

What will happen when they discover the truth about each other?

Will their weekly assignations come to a screeching halt, or will they turn into something much, much more?

Another great book

With Tracey Richarson’s writing and Abby Crade’s narration it has to be a winning book, and it is.
Great story, great plot, great characters. Love the beginning it was an interesting twist for a beginning of a love story.

most enjoyable

It took a little while to get into this book because the character exploration was delayed, but once that began, I was hooked! Abby faithfully rendered the smart, complex characters in her measured, expressive tones. Loved it!

Great listen, highly recommended!!

I enjoyed this book! The characters were very likeable, even if they were a pain in the neck at times! I liked the push and pull between the main characters, was nice to see their love unfold!

Meh, maybe you'll like more than me

This was the 1st book by this author that I listened to, I selected it because of the narrator who I do like. The book takes the premise of sex, then love, and weaves an ok story around it.

Actually, it's probably a good story, but I just really, really, struggled with what I perceived was the one sided give-take in the main characters relationship. Essentially, one of the protagonists, Amy, really seemed juvenile, to such an extent I really had no buy-in for her and kind of wanted to see Ellis screw her over or have greater resolve. A bit if an emotional hostage situation of, "make sure this happens or I can't love you..." It was cool for a little bit, but not for the entirety of the book and was hoping the emotional maturity would turn around. The story also became constantly repetitious with every conversation being, "save the hospital," sure, that's important, but there was then no depth.

The other odd thing is the story seems as though it was written to be serialized. What I mean by that were constant repeats and re-introductions to places and characters that had appeared earlier in the story.

Meh. It was well written and we'll narrated, I just didn't like the story and one of the main characters. Since there are so few decently written lesbian novels out there, this is a good one, it also has a fair bit of sex, so you're not a bad person if you get it, but just know it maybe a bit of a let down.
