Summary

Thursdays aren't simply another day of the week for Amy Spencer and Ellis Hall. Thursday afternoons sizzle with no-strings sex for the two women, who meet each week in a hotel room to forget their past - and their present.

The arrangement works perfectly for Amy, a busy surgeon who's still smarting from a failed relationship. For Ellis, Thursday afternoons act as a pressure valve from her cutthroat job and the mistakes in her personal life she's trying to rectify.

But soon the pair discover that their outside worlds are on a collision course with the carefully constructed world they've created on Thursday afternoons.

What will happen when they discover the truth about each other?

Will their weekly assignations come to a screeching halt, or will they turn into something much, much more?

Great

This slow burner into the lives of a surgeon and a auditor has you gripped from the start. It explores all areas of both occupations, past lives, hopes and dreams and a future happiness. You hear about a wayward teen who just wanted love and honesty, once gotten she turns her life round I’m hoping there will be a follow on

SO MUCH LOVE FOR THIS BOOK!

I'm sure we've all said, "I didn't want the book to end" at some point in a review, but, after finishing this audiobook, I couldn't mean it more. Thursday Afternoons was more than I expected. Sure, the main characters are busy, professional women who avoid relationships and decide to try a hookup as strangers, meeting on a Thursday in a hotel... they like it! how about next Thursday? yes! things are going great and they weren't expecting to like one another but they do. The characters find out who each other is in the real world since they were trying to be anonymous at the hotel dates. Amy is a surgeon and Ellis is from a company that is going to figure out what to change with the hospital because its losing money. There's sexual tension and work tension for both. oh also Ellis is watching her sort of one time step daughter who is 15 for the summer but that helps the story. Of course Amy and Ellis fall in love and have a perfect family. it was a great story and who doesnt love Abby Craden?!! I really wanted to continue listening to their story. Even when I saw I only had an hour left, I got bummed. I knew everything would be perfect at the end but I didnt want it to end. sounds sappy, but it's true. Thank you for the great listen!

You had me at “narrated by...”

Let’s be honest, I’d listen to Abby Craden read the phone book and give it an overall 6 stars. But that said, it’s a sweet fun story by an author who’s new to me. A nice distraction from the world. Enjoy!

Another great book

With Tracey Richarson’s writing and Abby Crade’s narration it has to be a winning book, and it is. Great story, great plot, great characters. Love the beginning it was an interesting twist for a beginning of a love story.

Totally Delightful

Over the years of my life I've been acquainted with many lesbians who after going years without a relationship or a sexual tryst, might have done what these women did. I laughed at the problems that arose, even the predictable ones. As they discovered each other outside of bed and found themselves on opposing sides, it became even funnier to me. Their journey to resolution was awesome. Their friends and family were beautifully described by my favorite narrator. Thank you for a totally delightful book.

Loved this read!!

I am new to this author and must say, I really enjoyed the read. The characters appealed to me and I was quite simply drawn to the storyline. It was definitely a pleasant listen / read and I’m now left with a curiosity propelling me towards Tracey Richardson’s other titles. Please keep them coming Tracey Richardson.

great 'enemies to lovers' and workplace romance

This book hooked me pretty much from the hot opening scene, and kept me captive til the end. Both story and characters were interesting and the plot satisfying. I love me a good doctor MC and there is also a subplot involving a troubled teen, which I love when it's done well. The novel is set in Canada for a change, which was refreshing for me. 5 stars go to the narrator. Abby Craden's vocal acting skills, as usual bring the characters and story to vivid life. I look forward to another audiobook by this combo.
