About this listen

Three sisters, one birthday, one little problem...

The three Kettle sisters have had a mortifying mishap. Their raucous, champagne-soaked birthday dinner has come to an abrupt end following a violent argument and an emergency dash to the hospital.

So who started it this time? Was it angry, hurt Cat, still recovering from the 'night of the spaghetti'? Was it Lyn, so serenely successful, at least on the outside? Or was it quirky, dreamy Gemma, the sister who can't keep a secret except for the most important one of all?

Critic reviews

"I adored Three Wishes...fresh, very, very funny...also intelligent and unsentimental about family dynamics." (Marian Keyes)

If you could sum up Three Wishes in three words, what would they be?

Interesting, funny, different

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed the book. I have read all of Liane Moriarty's books, They are not run of the mill 'chic-lit' they are far more than that. The storylines' of each of the triplets are each interesting in their own way. I liked Gemma. However, I could not warm to Lin or Kat I thought they were very cold, opinionated and arrogant women. The book jumps backward and forward in time and can sometimes get a bit confusing, but still keeps you on the edge, wanting to know the outcome of each scenario. A great book to listen to - the narrator is excellent too.
I'm looking forward to the next book by Liane Moriarty!! Hurry up please!!

I loved the anecdotes of people who had witnessed the Kettle family in action over the years, the explosive opening and satisfying ending to the book - highly recommended!

Entertaining and well constructed story

The book was a nice gentle story but quite disappointing for a Liane Moriarty novel. It was lacking that interesting twist that keeps you hooked

Not up to the usual standard
