It’s okay. Could have been better.
The dog noises and zombie noises were comical. Didn’t ruin the story but was funny every time it happened.
Overall, the story lacked. I expected more. It’s okay.

Was really good the only thing negative was the narrators silly dog sounds but worth it if you can ignore that.

Good story different kind of zombie tale

Very different from the usual zombie apocalypse story. A completely different take. This Zombie is friendly. I listened to this one free but bought the 2nd with a credit. I was already invested so had too, defo worth a listen if you’re a Zombie fan.

A different angle

I love dogs, plucky female protagonists and zombie survival books. So this should have been a win for me as the book has all three of these elements. The story itself is interesting with a different take on zombies, I particularly like the repeaters (zombies that are stuck in repetitive actions) and from the beginning I was rooting for Jane due to her love of dogs.

I really appreciate the work of the narrators and I hate to be critical of them, when Freya is reading, she's fine but with her dog noises and banshee wails (these are particularly awful) she really detracts from what should have been a solid book, instead I will be returning this title and obtaining the books for my kindle - such a shame.

The annoying dog noises were just awful. Poor narrator. The story seemed OK, maybe it got more exciting as it went on.
