A very uplifting and suspense-filled read
Where does Three Amazing Things About You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Definitely very near the top. There was no dull moment.
What did you like best about this story?
Three amazing things about you is a powerful story beautifully written to inform, enlighten and entertain. The writer chose a light hearted naration style to prevent us from getting overwhelmed by the subject matter, and the lighter aspects of the story creates a realistic balance between the huge events occurring.
Which character – as performed by Karen Cass – was your favourite?
I'm afraid annoying though she was, Lina was my favourite character as performed by Karen Cass.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Not necessarily as the issues being addressed were about life and death and I wanted to delay what I had thought was inevitable. In saying that, there were many nail biting moments in the book.
Any additional comments?
Karen Cass is one of my favourite actors to listen to. Her lively and friendly tone helps the listener keep things in perspective. She always has a way of reading which makes the listener feel like they're just having a friendly chat with a rather interesting person.

Almost gave up but glad I didn't
I am quite particular about narration and initially didn't enjoy the narration of this book at all and considered giving up on the book. I found that the voices and accents the narrator used didn't work for the characters as I imagined them and she wasn't great at regional accents (the Brummy who inexplicably turned Scouse was a particular low point).
I decided to persevere and in the end I enjoyed the story very much and was quite moved as it reached its climax. Reminded me a bit of Jojo Moyes' books in theme.

Serendipity!!!
I love the way the Author weaves each event and life experiences, intertwining the lives of these strangers until they become unified by a single quilted event.
Very suspenseful, I keep formulating and discarding how the story would unfold to prevent it being a total tragedy for someone.
It all worked out and came beautifully together with a reminder to live and cherish today as a gift in itself. Also, in giving you also receive.
The conclusion is very inspiring and really warmed my heart.
I would recommend the story to any of my friends despite there varied tastes, because there is a message there for us all to live by.
Excellent narration from Karen Cass.
There were a lot players, and each voice was distinctive and suited to the personality portrayed.
Thank you for helping me to wile away a very rainy weekend.

Awesome!
Jill Mansell has quickly become one of my new favorite writers. I have dutifully read three of her books in just the last week and I can't say enough about how wonderful they were. All very uplifting and each uniquely dealing with different issues that real people deal with making them truly relatable. Her characters are so fun, quirky, funny and simply lovable. In this particular book (her latest just published in January of this year) we have three separate stories that converge as a result of two very opposing forces - love and tragedy. Mansell does a great job highlighting the importance of being an organ donor by giving the reader an opportunity to see the impacts to all who are involved in the process of organ donation and how it impacts each of their lives uniquely. This book reminded me of how I felt when I read JoJo Moyes Me Before You. There is always a bright side even to the darkest moments. Tragedy although sad can lead to a very positive and happy result over time. I can't recommend this book enough. It was thoroughly enjoyable.
