Summary

Letting go is not a process that comes naturally to us. In a world that teaches us to cling to what we love at all costs, there is an undeniable art to moving on - and it's one that we are constantly relearning. In this series of honest and poignant essays, Heidi Priebe explores the harsh reality of what it means to let go of the people and situations we love most - often before we are ready to - and how to embrace what comes next.

this book helped me accept the end of my relationship to someone I can't imagine seeing everyday for rest of my life

Warm and therapeutic

I saw the description and had to buy it. Worth it. Its like a heart to heart with a best (wise) friend at every stage of dating/relationships.

written for young people

The writer still holds on to her first lover in every word she writes...so its hard to believe she is letting go. Not a book for mothers/ wifes who have to let go of a husband.

Fantastic little chapters that put things in perspective

I absolutely loved this book. It really put things in perspective, I especially liked the chapter on the wrong timing, not receiving that good morning text, and leaving a good thing behind - to look forward. Highly recommend this already revisited twice to hear some of the things again.

Just what I needed to hear!

This book is brilliant. It's just what I needed at this time. I'm going to go back and keep listening to it until the message really gets in my head. Thank you!

This is me not letting go!

This book may help some people but I found it a little boring. The writer clearly had not let Go!

it was ok

it was ok. it wasn't great and I don't feel it helped in anyway.
it reads as someone who's still in love with their ex more so than someone who's letting them go.

somewhat helpful

somewhat helpful to reflect and provide perspective for what I am going through, though I am probably not the intended audience

Supremely insightful

I can not think of more exhaustive description of what love feels like. It is good to know that there are others suffering in similar ways. And it does outlines ways to move forward. I would also recommend ‘I can mend your broken heart’ by Paul MsKenna

Disappointing

I guess I am just not of the intended audience of this book.
If I were a female person in my late teens or mid-twenties suffering the pangs of an unhappy love affair I might find some kind of solace in this messages in this book.

However, as we journey further on in life, we suffer other heartbreaks that are far more profound than those of broken romances.

I speak of the loss of parents, siblings and even children. Against these more deep, more grievous sufferings, the messages in this book answer not, and in fact seek rather superficial and self-indulgent.
