On the whole very useful and informative

Well presented and easy to follow with an engaging narrator. There are lots of goof tips and ideas in this book, my only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is due to discussion about how and when to use your bedroom. I've heard the saying that you should only use your bedroom for sleep and sex, however, the author does acknowledge that some people live in bedsits or have a lack of other space to use for other purposes. My reason for only giving 4 stars is because she then does not go any further into this and just keeps repeating that the bedroom should not be used for anything else. I'm in accommodation where only my kitchen and bathroom are separate, so my TV and work are completed in there too. I can make adjustments and do my best, but some tips on how to deal with this and adpat would have been a good addition to the book.

difficulty sleeping try this book

a good book on sleep disorders, but it took me a while to get through having said that it's still a useful book on the subject.

Stop smoking, exercise more & drink less alcohol

Yep, that headline just saved you 4 hours of your life. If you need a book that states the blooming obvious then by all means go for it but if you are reading a book about sleep then I think it's safe to say that you've probably tried all the things that everyone knows already.

Teased by references to tables

I am coming to the end of this book and finding it helpful and interesting. If there were links to the suggested templates and mind maps this would lead me to give higher scores. If anyone can point me to the links that would be great.

Hard to listen to

I think there are some great tips in this book. Unfortunately the automated voice makes it very painful to listen to. I am suprised that IT didn't send me to sleep!!! Buy the book and read it instead

Dreadful

This has been the worst audible book I have bought. You are made to feel as if you have never tried to sleep or know nothing in advance about the mechanics of sleep.
I thought this book was partly theory and partly a system to help you drift off. Wrong! It was completely about what causes a lack of sleep and what you can do to help (most people listening to this already will know what is discussed). You are made to feel like a little child being talked down to. Definitely not recommended for people who have had sleeping problems and already know the basics a it ch as in this book.
