Summary

Friends don’t let friends séance drunk.

A new paranormal women's fiction romance series from NYT and USAT best-selling author, Michelle M. Pillow!

Vivien Stone lost the love of her life over 20 years ago. Now that she’s in her 40s with a string of meaningless relationships under her belt, she can't help but pine for what might have been. It doesn't help that she's somewhat psychic and can pretty much predict where a relationship is heading before it even starts.

When she and her best friends find a hidden book of séances, Vivien believes it's the perfect opportunity to talk to her lost love. But things don't go as planned and what was meant to be a romantic reunion takes a turn for the bizarre.

Maybe some things (and people) are better left buried in the past, and what she really needs has been standing in front of her all along.

Amazing Series!

This is the second book in the Order of Magic Series, a Paranormal Romance Women's Fiction Novel. This Series is amazing! Vivien's story is captivating, and emotional. Lorna and Heather are fantastic supporting characters. The three friends are gifted with psychic abilities. The mystery unfolds at a great pace, and the conclusion is beautiful. Rebecca Cook did a wonderful job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to The Fourth Power, Heather's story, the third book in the Series. If you like Paranormal Romance, and Women's Fiction, this series is definitely for you! I enjoyed it, and I HIGHLY recommend it.

Girls night is the best… even without alcohol…

Viv had her one great love, and she’d give anything to have him back… Cancer stole him away when they were far too young. Now she’s an adult, with magical powers, discovering she sees the world a little differently than she did 20 years ago, even as part of her is still hung up on her one true love.

Troy has no idea what his neighbor thinks of him… but he certainly knows how interested he is in her. Maybe, if he keeps trying, she’ll notice he’s flirting with her?

This audiobook has a fun sense of humor and wonderful characters. It deals a lot with grief, and the pain we carry within ourselves, as well as both how we remember things, and working to move forward. I love that Viv is so sure she knows what her husband would have wanted… and her bff Heather who has known her since middle school is equally sure he would have wanted something different… because sometimes it really does come down to perspective.

Good stuff!

In the second book about the paranormal lives of the ladies of Freewild Cove,
Lorna, Heather and Vivien continue to hone their psychic skills in contacting and dispatching spirits.

Vivien lost the love of her life to cancer, after only a short time together.
In the following twenty years, nobody has replaced Sam’s place in her heart.
A chilly marriage ending in divorce and numerous hookups encompass her personal life.

Vivien decides to contact Sam in a séance, with the help of Lorna and Heather.
Unfortunately, Dutch courage before the séance causes a problem. Rather than just summoning Sam to communicate, her deepest desire of having him return from the dead is in her heart and mind.

The outcome is rather startling.

A great chapter in the paranormal lives of the ladies of Freewild Cove as they seek closure and the possibility of a future loving relationship.

Good narration.

Vivian's story.

This is the second book in the series and it's Vivian's turn to deal with her problems. She lost the love of her life 20 years ago and knows that it's time to deal with his loss. As their powers continue to grow and they learn more about what they are doing, Vivian decides she should call on Sam. But things don't go as planned and she has different intentions than the others do. Meanwhile her ex is trying to con her, there's a new man that she doesn't want to start anything with but can't seem to avoid and Sam doesn't leave like he's supposed to and keeps showing up at the worse times. Fun fast read. I love the women's relationship and the story is fun. I listened to the audio version and I liked the narration. It was nice that the narrator changes voices for the characters so I could keep them straight. Vivian is smart and savvy but is afraid of commitment, except to her friends.

Things don’t go quite to plan as she wishes Sam back to life and strange things start to happen first she walks into the sea as a translucent figure beckons her there and then again crossing the road both times her life was in danger .

Amazing Series

This is Vivian's book. From the first book I had thought Vivian was an uppity snob, maybe I was a bit harsh. I loved the first book, so I hope this book is just as good. I love the three friends, the banter they have is so fun. I wish I had friends like these ladies. This series is another good one by Michelle M. Pillow, one of many. I'm excited to listen to the rest of the series. I highly recommend this series.

A brilliant adaptation

Viv lost the love of her life in her early twenties. Believing the family legend that there would be only one great love in her life. She has spent twenty years mourning Sam. But with the arrival of a new neighbour perhaps things will change. This is a very emotional story which I really enjoyed I an of to listen to the next book in this series

Intense

This one is just as good as the first one. There has been a lot of development of the characters as their lives change and this has been really enjoyable to listen to. I started this series not knowing if I would enjoy it but as it has progressed I can happily say that it has impressed me so much. The chemistry in this novel is fantastic and I have also loved the addition of magic. I just wish I could give it more stars.

enjoyable

Really enjoyed this book at times I thought something bad was going to happen . I am happy to say it didn't, infact the story didn't end how I expected. It was a happy ending really nice in these uncertain times.

Perfect sequel!

With it's well develop Characters and their story Michelle has yet again brought to her fans another awesome series. I love how the three main characters of this story complete and build off each other yet shine with their own power. Even though the women in this story are a bit older then the usual women in most paranormal romance it goes to that age is just a number and the longer you lived the more you know.
Emotions stretch the characters and readers alike. The three women are strong friends and women with loyalty unmatched.
She is psychic. She was also widowed in her early 20's and never got over the loss of her true love. Sam Stone was the live of her life. She thought she could never love again. During a seance, they try to call Sam back. He does come back, but he has something to tell Viv.
Her new neighbor Troy is flirting with her but she cannot seem to talk right in front of him she is trying to put him in the friend category but that never happens.
Right now Lorna is staying at her house since she got out the hospital and Viv is so happy to have her there. The three friends decide to help Viv with a seance' only she didn't bother to tell Lorna and Heather that she wanted Sam her 1st husband back.
This story was sweet, a bit funny and a bit emotional. The characters are well developed and very likable.
