About this listen

Best-selling author Lucy Score returns to Knockemout, Virginia, following fan-favorite Things We Never Got Over with Knox's brother Nash's story.

Police Chief Nash Morgan is known for two things: Being a good guy and the way his uniform accentuates his butt. Two bullets put a dent in that Southern charm but—thankfully—spared his spectacular rear end.

He’s got his hands full with the man who shot him still on the loose, healing wounds, and citizens who think of the law as more of a “guideline”. Throw in the gloomy mood that clings to him, and the last thing he needs is a smart-mouthed, gorgeous new neighbor making him feel things he doesn’t have the energy to feel.

Lina has her reasons for being in town. She’s on a mission and the fewer people that find out about it, the better. She does her best work alone, and as soon as she finds what she’s after, she’s hitting the road for the next solo adventure.

Too bad the town of Knockemout has other ideas. Soon Lina finds herself sucked into small-town life.

I love this series. I loved Naomi and Nox but I love Nash and Lina. This book had me laughing out loud. Loved how Lucy has made Knockemout. I want to live there! Something tells me we will be getting Lucien and Sloane ‘s story next.

Love the book

I like this sweet smalltown scenery, with authentic characters, sweet moments and the huge, caring family they build together. While reading you just constantly cheer that the characters find their deserved happy end (or well not that happy end), so they are quite likeable. I liked how this book did not overcomplicate “the almost end breakingup” trick, and i liked seeing characters growing up a bit and realising everything is better without secrets, and how much easier might be solving problems together. I prefer not so white and black characters in a story, and maybe except for the villains the book made a nice try for that.

The narration was super amazing, the feelings, moods, characters were delivered excellently.

Small town scenery with ptsd and spice

This book made me lose a whole night of sleep, because I couldn't stop listening.

The characters and setting are great, and like TWINGO, it made me both laugh and cry.

Incredible performances from the narrators.

Now I have to buy the third book. I hope Lucy Score has a lot more books coming in the future, because I love her writing.

Long and satisfying
