Et ils sentaient toujours des lambeaux de Camille, qui s'écrasait ignoblement entre eux.'"

Enfin, un jour, ces deux forçats de la morgue tombent épuisés, empoisonnés, l'un sur l'autre, devant le fauteuil de la vieille mère paralytique, qui jouit intérieurement de ce châtiment par lequel son fils est vengé... Forçons les romanciers à prouver leur talent autrement que par des emprunts aux tribunaux et à la voirie."
