Summary
Lily Connor has focused all her energy into becoming a successful wedding planner, and after five years, she's on the precipice of taking on more responsibility at Southerland Wedding Company. When the chance finally presents itself, it comes with a complication she couldn't have dreamt up in her worst nightmares. With the bride and groom away for a month, Lily needs to work with the bride's best friend, Bennett Burke, a woman she never thought she'd see again.
It was only for a few months, a study abroad experience that felt plucked from those same dreams turned nightmares, but Bennett is back, and Lily wants nothing to do with her. Bennett broke her heart the first time, and Lily swore she'd never let something like that happen again.
Working together can't be avoided, but falling in love? Lily needs to stop that at all costs, even if it comes at the sake of her own happiness.

Loved it!
I'm not the biggest fan of flashbacks, usually I like my story to be set in one time but I thought the author did a great job using it to get us to learn more about the characters. excellent narration as always by Lori Prince, I hope here are more releases coming soon from this author 5/5

A charming wlw romance
Don't get put off by the book jacket on Audible or what seems to be, at the start of the story, yet another poor-little-rich-girl tale. It a nicely written romance which, apart from the occasional editorial oversight, hangs together well. Despite some angst in the storyline, this is not a heavy novel and leaves the reader/listener with a warm glow, just as a good romance should.
While this is not a rom-com, which is what Lori Prince's narrative talent is best suited to, her style is nevertheless well suited to the tone of this novel. As always, she brings the characters to life and differentiates well between each one. My only criticism is that, like virtually all American voice artists and actors, she makes absolutely no effort to even attempt a French pronunciation of French names and words, but this may be the fault of the American producer and the US centric production company.

Good book and great audio
Enjoyed the book no surprise as M.M. is one of my favourite authors and Lori Prince's performance just enhances the story.

growth
two peoe meet as young persons on a school trip and love blossomed. all to family and their beliefs and trying to do right the relationship soured. then 6 years later they meet again would it be a fresh beginning or start where they left. one had to come to term with family and committment the other with opening their heart again. beautoful story likeable characters

wonderful
I hate parents like Bennetts' children are a blessing and a parents job is to support and love them, rant over
this is a beautiful story of first love and overcoming the obstacles to be with the one true love. monica McCallan delivers great writing skill back and forth from first meet to present day whilst keeping the intensity flowing.
Lori Prince is my favourite narrator in this genre whose voice delivers the emotion and range to the characters, and has a sexy purr with a gravelly turn-on.
