No Catholic library is complete without these five landmark works by Romano Guardini, one of the most important Catholic figures of the 20th century.

This treasury of five monumental works by Romano Guardini, one of the most important Catholic figures of the 20th century, brings back into print the classic Regnery translations of Stella Lange with a new introduction by Robert Royal.

Included in this collection is The World and the Person, The Church of the Lord: On the Nature and Mission of the Church, The Word of God: On Faith, Hope, and Charity, The Virtues: On Forms of Moral Life, and The Wisdom of the Psalms.

This is the perfect companion to Guardini's masterwork The Lord. No Catholic library is complete without both. Bible Study Bibles & Bible Study Christianity

Guardini grew up in the time of Popes Leo XIII and Pius X, published from the time of the Great War until just after the second Vatican Council. I'm very grateful for all the books in this collection. Some are immediately accessible, although the title volume The World and the Person was initially quite a shock (for me at least.) His reflections on the church and on Pauline theology are really beautiful. I've listened to the middle three books about five times now, and they've certainly helped me on my way. I've also bought the Kindle version so that I can read and meditate at my own pace. Recommended.
