A No.1 e-book bestseller, perfect for fans of Ruth Ware, Shari Lapena and Clare Mackintosh.

Two suburban women. Two dark secrets. The almost perfect murder.

Everybody needs good neighbours…

Melissa and Hester have lived next door to each other for years. When Melissa’s daughter was younger, Hester was almost like a grandmother to her. But recently they haven’t been so close.

Hester has plans to change all that. It’s obvious to her that despite Melissa’s outwardly glamorous and successful life, she needs Hester’s help.

But taking help from Hester might not be such a good idea for a woman with as many secrets as Melissa…

What an amazing book!
Hester is up there with Ove and Britt Marie as my favorite characters ever.

I binge listened and am excited to read more by this author.
I’d love a sequel about Hester!

I need more Hester!

Was intrigued and gripped by this book, and really did enjoy it up until the last hour, when I found that things deteriorated. The ending was flat and quite poor and a huge disappointment to the rest of the book where I felt the tension and mystery built so nicely. Such a shame as it was well written and believable ( with great performances by the narrators) up until that point. Sad that it finished so poorly.

Disappointing ending

I managed to finish this book by sheer determination. I found many chapters irrelevant and boring. The narrators were really good hence the 3 stars

Disappointing

Hester’s character is intriguing, sort of normal in a weird, deluded, evil way. The storyline is brilliantly written and presented, it gripped me from beginning to end. Twists and turns all the way.

If you haven’t downloaded this audible book yet, do it now, you will not regret it.
