About this listen

A No.1 e-book bestseller, perfect for fans of Ruth Ware, Shari Lapena and Clare Mackintosh.

Two suburban women. Two dark secrets. The almost perfect murder.

Everybody needs good neighbours…

Melissa and Hester have lived next door to each other for years. When Melissa’s daughter was younger, Hester was almost like a grandmother to her. But recently they haven’t been so close.

Hester has plans to change all that. It’s obvious to her that despite Melissa’s outwardly glamorous and successful life, she needs Hester’s help.

But taking help from Hester might not be such a good idea for a woman with as many secrets as Melissa…

Really enjoyed this. The characters are very believable . even the rich and successful have dark secrets. I found myself preferring Hester over Melissa.

Would you listen to The Woman Next Door again? Why?

I have listened to this novel twice within just a few weeks and for me, it stood that test so well. I love thrillers with a passion and this one is SO different to 'the rest'. A very unusual story, which is what made me want to listen again, and it has only a very sparse sprinkling of the implausible about it. . Brilliantly read and very memorable. In essence, the story of two entirely different next door neighbours and a crime that links them to each other in a totally fascinating and engaging way. No more because it would be terrible to spoil it for new listeners.

What a good investment of a credit because I'm certain to be digging this one up out of my library again and again.

You Will NOT want to stop listening to this one!

Thoroughly enjoyed this book! Narrators superb for both main characters and really brought them to life. An unusual story but one that I really got into - and the ending was a good twist. There were no "goodies" or "baddies" which made it all the more enjoyable as one was left pondering on the strangeness of life . Don't want to give any more away but would thoroughly recommend this book.

A smashing read!!
