Diana Helmuth, thirty-three, is skeptical of organized religion. She is also skeptical of disorganized religion. But, more than anything, she is tired of God being dead. So, she decides to try on the fastest-growing, self-directed faith in America: Witchcraft.

I've been practicing witch craft for just under a year, and felt this book was very relatable. A lot of the things Diana has struggled with on her journey, I have too. This book has inspired me to do more shadow work, and to reflect on things I may have not previously considered.

I found this book easy to listen to. It is read well by the author and really helps you feel like you are on this journey together. The authors accounts are open, well research and funny. I feel like she did the year of wicca so I don't have to. I might try druidism?? I appreciate the end not being forced into a conclusion but leaving an honest if maybe less satisfying open ended argument. we are always growing.

I LOVED this book. The author is absolutely hilarious. I'm so glad I decided to go with the audiobook version as you get an amazing sense of Diana's personality. The reading was perfect and felt like an irreverent chat with a good friend. I'm a witchy Pagan type and I really resonated with Diana's journey. I'm also pretty sceptical, so I enjoyed hearing her thoughts about the woo woo topics. Great fun!
