About this listen

At the Crescent Moon tearoom, the ladies who step over its threshold continue to seek comfort in the glimpses of their futures found in the swirls at the bottom of their cups.

The shop is thriving after a much-needed expansion, Anne is leading the city's witches as Chicago's Diviner, Beatrix is being swept away on tour across the country, and Violet has found her place with her feet swinging through the air. That is, until the Quigley sisters find themselves stumbling on the paths they have chosen, and they are drawn back home in search of refuge in each other's company.

As Anne struggles to balance her responsibilities, Beatrix fears she has lost her gift for storytelling, and Violet is shaken after an accident at the circus, the future the sisters had drawn for themselves feels murkier than ever. And, when the threads of fate begin to unravel, Anne must lean on her sisters and team up with a mysterious-and oddly infuriating-necromancer to save the city from an uncertain fate, while helping old friends find a happy end.

With all three Quigleys back in the warm embrace of the Crescent Moon, they set out to bargain with Fate once more. But will the sisters find the courage to embrace who they have become while returning to the best of what they left behind?©2025 Stacy Sivinski (P)2025 Bonnier Books UK

A cosy and witchy read.

Going back to Chicago with the Quigley triplets was a dream. Just like in the first book, you are transported to a mystical and magical Chicago were three sisters try to navigate life but also, listen to the magic around them to help people around them.

I loved meeting all the new characters and felt so nostalgic about seeing the one from book one as well ! Each sister grew so much between their own adventure and that felt like falling back into a good tv show. Each of them had secrets that they managed to untangled together and with the help of people around them.

I loved this second book in the Spellbound Sisters saga and absolutely loved the fact that each of them have similar pages time. It showed the importance of Sisterhood, friends and family and the fact that requesting help might actually be more than necessary on some occasion.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for this eARC.
