This book started good. Though it was more a romance than I expected. It does have a paranormal twist, but there is not a lot of suspense. For most of the part it felt like a chick lit. Woman wants to fix a house and falls in love with the contractor. This book has got more than the cliche though. I liked how the author took something true from her own family history and turned it into a fiction story. It was an okay read, just different than I expected. I liked Melissa. After a while the story felt a bit long winded. It would have been better if the book was shorter. I didn't like the end. The narrator did a good job. There were different voices for the different characters. The pacing was a bit too slow at times, but that was more because of the plot than because of the narrator
