Summary

Get swept away to the sparkling Welsh coast, where the sea glitters in the sunshine and love is in the air. From the bestselling author of The Blossom Tree of Dreams, this is the perfect romantic treat to escape with.

Meadow has only ever loved one man—the very gorgeous Bear Brookfield. Ever since they were children, she’s dreamed of marrying him under the green canopy of Wishing Wood. But when a teenage kiss that held such promise was followed by a series of misunderstandings, Meadow lost all hope of a future with Bear. Years later, Meadow and Bear remain best friends, despite Meadow marrying and divorcing Bear’s brother Heath. Yet she’s sure there’s no chance they’ll be anything more.

What Meadow doesn’t know is that Bear has only ever loved one woman too. He was heartbroken when Meadow married Heath, certain she chose his brother over him. But there’s more to Meadow and Heath’s marriage than anyone knows...

With both Meadow and Bear convinced they can only ever be friends, they set one another a dating challenge—will they meet their perfect match online, as Bear thinks, or in person at a dating event, like Meadow believes? Or will they finally discover that their soul mate has been right there in front of them, secretly loving them, all along?

Once you’ve arrived in Wishing Wood, you’ll never want to leave! Treat yourself to a summer of love with this feel-good, heartwarming and deliciously romantic tale. Perfect for fans of Sarah Morgan, Jill Mansell and Sue Moorcroft

Loved this!

I couldn't wait for this audio to come out. I had bought the book but needed to wait for the audio before starting.
I absolutely love the Brookfied brothers and I adore the setting of this series, I actually want to live there myself.
This is Bear and Meadow's story and its great, it isn't without their ups and downs but its a great journey!
Next is Heaths story and I really can't wait for that!

Enjoyable Read

It was a nice follow up to book 1 with enough references to remind you of the characters. Though if I hadn’t read the first book, I feel the back story may have oavirf content for a first time reader.

Another wonderful story from Holly Martin

I had no doubt that this would be another 5-star story. The characters are so lovable and realistic, and Wishing Wood is just where I’d love to live. I only have one problem at the end of this… how can any other story meet my expectations after one this good?

THIS IS AS GOOD AS THE 1ST BOOK! 4🌟🌟🌟🌟

I have LOVED listening to the 2nd book in the 'Wishing Wood' series.
The first book was about 'River Brookfield' whilst this second book was about his brother 'Bear Brookfield' it was really good, I loved it and there was a twist in this book that I did not see coming.
Holly Martin is a great writer/author and I am enjoying her audible listens. I am now going to listen to the 3rd book in this series that I just bought with a credit and it is a Christmas Listen focusing on the third brother 'Heath Brookfield ' I am really looking forward to it!

I am used to the narrator Penny Scott Andrews and she does her job very well as she voices different characters brilliantly!

Heart warming series

I love this series, it’s a shame this book isn’t linked as part of the series but is part of it?. This author has so many opportunities to explore other characters and possibly the children as they turn older. Absolutely fallen in love with the authors depiction of this story. Only criticism is how some of the Welsh beaches are not pronounced properly.

Wordy

It was very wordy and okay ish. The narration was awful and whiney like a child taking. I cringed at times.

Distracting narration.

Wanted this as a summer listen to enjoy on holiday. I struggled with the storyline and found the narration somewhat irritating.
