I received this book via a promo code and this is my honest voluntary review.

Book One of Jack Hunt's YA Zompocalypse fiction.

This was very well done, told exclusively from teenage Scotts POV, it follows his reluctant stay in a zombie themed survival camp while his parents take off on a trip. Teen attitudes and a SHTF scenario turned the action in this story when trouble hits our group of survivors as REAL zombies begin chomping down on people. With his older brother and the leader of their camp missing, it doesn't look good for those in the Adirondacks, thrust into danger the teens have to use the skills they've half-assed learned in their prepper camp to search for their missing members, a task made all the more perilous as other survivors turn desperate and escaped convicts use the lawlessness to their advantage.

This was a great zombie story, I shall be looking forward to book 2.
