Liked the first book of the series, this one was even better. Quite a few twists and turns throughout the story and can't wait to finish the series off.

Loved this book, didn't think it could have been as good as the first, but so many twists and turns. Like other reviews i didn't see the ending coming. Listened to the early hours. Buy wont be disappointed

I really didn’t expect that end - wow! This book is really good. Their love and hate relationship was quite something and all the twists were quite shocking at times but some very expected, even if heartbreakingly so. Will be starting book 3 straight away.

If the first book was a little neither here nor there (IMO) Holly Black has certainly ramped up the intrigue in the Wicked King ... more plot twists and turns and less sap I was sad for this one to finish. Looking forward to the next one ... but 2020? really!
