THE BRAND NEW, ADDICTIVE UP-ALL-NIGHT THRILLER

Six friends. Five secrets. One holiday to die for . . .
Welcome to THE WEEKEND.

When a group of friends rent a converted farmhouse in the Yorkshire Dales, they have little idea that this one weekend may change the course of their lives forever.

While out on a walk, a storm descends and the friends take shelter in the mouth of an old lead mine. Inside, they discover a backpack filled with more money than they've ever seen.

Of course, they agree, they will hand the money to the police at the first opportunity. But as the storm continues and time passes, some of the party begin to think again. Because there are secrets festering at the heart of this group. Debt. Obsession. A career on the brink. Problems that could be solved instantly with an unexpected windfall.

And perhaps they don't know each other as well as thought they did.

Before long, six good friends find themselves sliding headlong into a world of deceit, treachery, betrayal and murder . . .

Critic reviews

Expectations are always high with the publication of a new title by Logan . . . His trademark straightforward storytelling relies on creating very believable everyday characters in unsensational circumstances from which he manages to conjure extraordinary drama.
A brilliant thriller, full of deceit and backstabbing.
[T.M. Logan is] a master at plunging everyday people into dark moral dilemmas before delivering twists and turns at breakneck speed, and a finale that packs a real punch. A hugely enjoyable pageturner that readers will struggle to put down.
A masterclass in escalating suspense.
A fiendishly gripping 'What would I do?' thriller, which explores what it takes to crack apart a group of lifelong friends. This is T.M. Logan at his finest, delivering a rocketing pace, whiplash twists, and a stylish denouement.
T.M. Logan starts his new thriller with a moral choice any of us would struggle over - and then unleashes a rollercoaster of devastating secrets and beautifully judged reveals. The Weekend is a belter, gripping from the first page and never letting go...
T.M. Logan gets unbelievably better with every single book and this is his most head-spinning, brilliant one yet. A deliciously dark premise, characters you can't stop thinking about and a twist that gets you in the gut.
The Weekend has it all - dangerous secrets, twisted lies, a pace to die for, and the ultimate what would you do dilemma. A one-sitting read, I devoured it.
The Weekend begins in trademark TM Logan fashion: ordinary people faced with a gripping moral dilemma. The tension soon ramps up, the plot cracking along at breakneck speed, with twists and turns galore. A heady cocktail of money, murder and mystery.
This is T.M. Logan at his best - a premise that hooks you straight into this utterly gripping thriller, where six friends have their loyalties tested to the limit when faced with a moral dilemma. After I finished the book, it sparked a whole conversation in my house about what we would do in the same situation, which for me, is the sign of a great read.

It’s not my favourite of TM Logan as some of it is quite unrealistic and a little confusing. Sometimes with an audio book I am so gripped that the world stops around me but this wasn’t the case with the weekend, I had to keep rewinding to gain focus.
I feel bad saying something negative as I LOVE all of the other books! It is good and I will listen to it again in the future as it may be where I am in my life that made me not able to concentrate.
Nicola Walkers narration is brilliant 🤩

T M Logan is one of my favourite authors—he couldn’t write a bad book if he tried. His latest is fantastic and had me hooked to my headphones from start to finish. The premise is so intriguing, packed with “what would I do” moments that really made me think. I flew through the chapters, eager to see how everything would play out, and the ending was absolutely brilliant! There’s plenty of tension, some truly gut-wrenching moments, and the characterisation is spot on.

To make an already fabulous audiobook even better, it’s narrated by the incredibly talented Nicola Walker!
