Few entrepreneurs can claim to have radically changed the way we live, and Ray Kroc is one of them. His revolutions in food-service automation, franchising, shared national training, and advertising have earned him a place beside the men and women who have founded not only businesses, but entire empires. But even more interesting than Ray Kroc the business man is Ray Kroc the man. Not your typical self-made tycoon, Kroc was 52 years old when he opened his first franchise.

Intelligence is usually seen as the ability to think and learn, but in a rapidly changing world, there's another set of cognitive skills that might matter more: the ability to rethink and unlearn. In recent months, the pandemic has forced us all to reevaluate our assumptions about health and safety and multiple acts of police brutality have challenged most of us to reconsider our responsibility for fighting racism. Yet in our daily lives, too many of us still favor the comfort of conviction over the discomfort of doubt.

Summary
In September 2012, a YouGov poll conducted in Britain found that the person British workers would most like as their manager was Sir Richard Branson.
With over 40 years in business, Richard Branson is an inspiring pioneer of humanitarian projects and an iconic business leader. In The Virgin Way: How to Listen, Learn, Laugh and Lead, Richard shares and distils his secrets of leadership and success. Featuring anecdotes from his own business dealings, as well as his observations of many others who have inspired him - from politicians, business leaders, explorers, scientists, and philanthropists - Richard reflects on the qualities he feels are essential for success in today’s world.
This is not a conventional audiobook on leadership. There are no rules - but rather the secrets of leadership that he has learned along the way from his days at Virgin Records, to his recent work with The Elders. Whether you’re at the beginning of your career, or head of a Fortune 500 company - this is your guide to being your own CEO (Chief Enabling Officer) and becoming a true leader - not just a boss.
Recorded on location at Necker Island.

Helped me understand me
What did you like most about The Virgin Way?
His personal stories from childhood that showed that business is no different from what we do as children to what we achieve as adults
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Virgin Way?
His quote from Gandhi was a nice way to set the tone "Live today like it was your last, learn as if you could live forever"
Have you listened to any of Richard Branson’s other performances? How does this one compare?
This was my first and i enjoyed it very much
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me think, is all i could say, it also made me realise that we share the same issues and victories in business just in different scales.
It made me see i am following the Virgin way and i am happy for that
Any additional comments?
If you are starting out in business, listen to this, if you dont have time then remember one thing... always listen to others, its the key to opening your chosen door

It's Richard Branson !
Interesting and and entertaining. It has the signature Richard Branson style, lots of stories, and some helpful advices for entrepreneurs.
It is rather short. The longest chapter is less than 6 minutes. Yes, it is very concise, but personally, I would like the book to further elaborate on some ideas. Anyways, a good book, and I specially like to hear it from Branson himself.
