Best soporific

This book was so boring that I used it as an aid to sleep! It is supposed to be a channelled text from various "heavenly" creatures, however it was primarily Christian with references to the New Testament. All I can really say is that it did not resonate in the slightest with me and I wouldn't recommend it, even if the listener was a fervent Christian. I much prefer the Seth books which do resonate

Who am I?

In an earlier time, two ships passing in the night would exchange two primary pieces of information. They would both ask the other ship...where are you coming from...and...where are you going to? With this new information each ship would then update it's own course to get to it's intended destination.
The Urantia Book is just such a revelation for the seeker to do the same.

A life changing book

This Book is fascinating. Although complicated, it opened my eyes to new and intriguing concepts of God and the vast number of beings that orchestrate the creation and welfare of billions of inhabited planets, including ours. The kind of book I will read many times! It starts out a little intimidating, but it is worth the effort to keep going.

My soul love it...

Where does The Urantia Book (Part 1 and Part 2) rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of the top audiobook I have listened to. This book may be not for everyone, since we are different in our level of consciousness. I love it and feel familiar with the contents. Maybe I have been a student of the universe for many life times.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The Creator Trinity Father and His creation of different levels of beings...

Which character – as performed by the narrator – was your favorite?

Not specifically. Both of the two narrators did a wonderful work.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Impossible, but I listened it in less than a week.

Any additional comments?

You may not understand what is saying in the book, but keep your heart open. Only truth will stay and last. No matter what your religion is, this book will worth your time and effort to study. It will enhance your faith. I strongly recommend it.

Life Changing

I have read and studied many books that have been meaningful. I have read one book that has literally transformed my life. It is the Urantia Book. I truly cannot, nor would I want to, imagine progressing and evolving without what is revealed in these papers.

Extremely broad, deep and detailed discovery of the administrative and philosophical creations in which God manifests itself.

A massive puzzle piece which details the souls progression from lower 1st density material life through to the comprehension of God in all its infinite manifestations. When coupled with other works such as Ra: The Law of One, The Seth Material, The Emerald Tablets of Toth, past life and life between life regressionists such as Delores Cannon, Micheal Newton, etc, and 20+ years of deep research into spiritual, scientific, historical, mathematical, esoteric and cosmological studies I’ve come to the conclusion that there is no way a fellow human of this 3rd density realm wrote this. Especially without taking credit for it. Although the Christian filter in which is written through is distinct, it is universal and transcends Christianity in a way that disposes with the idea that it was written by a Christian of any sort. Most likely Christianity, in its earliest roots taught reincarnation and esotericism throughout the Essene Community and why the these spiritual beings show up in christianity throughout the ancient writings. As a former catholic ( until I grew up and started thinking for myself) I am always leery of many of the teachings and characters within the religion, but I just say I am absolutely blown away by the information in this material and look forward to consuming the next couple books with a voracious appetite and thirst for its ambrosia- like effects upon the mind and spirit. Very impressed with the work. A definite read but the beginner might not understand it as well and I’m sure even myself should listen to it many many times like the earlier works I alluded to at the beginning of the review. Once simply is not enough to comprehend these advanced concepts to even the most basic level of understanding.

So ahead of its time...it's timeless

I remember the day I discovered this book. I was so hungry to learn about God and spirituality. I did a search on Amazon for "Christian Spirituality" or something similar. I found this book and was intrigued by it and purchased it on Audible. When I first started listening to it, I was like, "Wow, this is some deep philosophical stuff". As I listened on, I never heard something so deeply intriguing. Even though many concepts were complicated or "overexplained", the overall message just clicked with my soul and made sense. There were many times what it said made me revolt thinking either it's too good to be true or it questioned my Christian beliefs that I grew up being taught. However, the logic, consistency, and the sense that it made was inescapable. I had no choice but to contend with what was being said. Slowly, my mind began to open up to at the very least taking what was said: "under consideration". I am now almost finished with the Life and Teachings of Jesus. I can honestly say that I believe 99% of what this book says and the remaining 1% could be a misunderstanding or prejudices I still have. To anyone who is searching to make sense of God, the universe, and how things work... THIS is the book for you. This is possibly the best book ever written besides the bible. Even if you believe the word of God/Bible/Scripture to be the inerrant word of God, I dare you to read this with an open mind and see how it resonates with your soul.

Intolerable Psychobabble

What would have made The Urantia Book (Part 1 and Part 2) better?

I can't even imagine what would make this book better other than it never being written. It was hour after hour of sanctimonious, over-elaborated religulous psychobabble. I'd rather stab my ears with an icepick than listen to another hour of it. I actually contemplated counting the superfluous rendundant adjectives and descriptors in each sentence--it was truly stunning how many words were employed just in the interest of telling the listener how impossible it was to adequately describe in human word-symbols the glory of God the Father in all His omnipotent supremacy of self-awareness fulfilling the infinite potentiality of His primordial state of vastness in His utterly self-directing and self-completing loving free will. And that was an understatement.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I just couldn't get through even 3 hours of it.

Any additional comments?

The two reviews posted were very misleading. I have a hard time believing that no one else was off-put by the inaccessible language, redundancy and general incomprehensibility of the content.

Incredibly valuable clarification

This detailed revelation provides a bridge between religion and science. I've also found helpful a printed book that provides a diagram displaying all the universes and their interactions: ISBN 978 - 0 - 966 3270 - 2 - 1. it also has a glossary
