Story
To be human is to suffer - and yet, according to Eckhart Tolle, all of these painful moments contain an opportunity for awakening. In Transforming Suffering into Peace, this celebrated teacher offers a new perspective on the ego and what he terms "the pain-body" - all the accumulated emotional wounds that follow us through life. Though the pain-body can easily rise up and hijack our consciousness with unpleasant emotions, in this program Eckhart reveals a hopeful truth - by turning the light of awareness on our suffering, that suffering becomes a powerful gateway to Presence.

Summary
This program will change the way you think about work (and everything else)....
Imagine going to work each day feeling energized, excited, and ready for anything that comes your way. No more struggling with stress or burnout. No more personality clashes. Impossible? Not according to Michael A. Singer, who served as founding CEO of a billion-dollar corporation where this fantastic vision became a reality every day of the week.
Before he was the author of The Untethered Soul and The Surrender Experiment, Singer was working at his own company exploring and refining the spiritual insights and tools he would share with millions through his best-selling books. With The Untethered Soul at Work, join him for a rare audio presentation on applying these insights in your own workplace. This two-part program brings you practical wisdom on 10 common business challenges, including finding fulfillment at work, the art of conscious communication, creativity and problem-solving, and much more.
“Everything that happens at work is a chance for us to offer our full selves - our love, our passion, our creativity - in service of the miraculous moment unfolding before us,” explains Singer. The Untethered Soul at Work will transform the way you think about the concept of work, while opening you to greater joy, connection, and satisfaction in your own chosen field.

Want to be mocked and preached to?
I loved the Untethered Soul so was pleased to see this but the audio version of this book is awful. Singer preaches at you, mocks and almost shouts at you. Now makes me wonder if I over valued his original book or whether the audiobook version of that would be as bad. I found it so aversive that I couldn’t finish the book

I love this guy
I am now living my life as Michael suggests ever since reading the original Untethered Soul book. This book is specific to work and it’s just sublime. I wish there was a book for every aspect of life, but I guess there doesn’t need to be. Truly inspiring, and breaks it all down so nicely. The very fact that I was recommended this book at the very moment I needed to hear it is proof that his stuff is working for me. So much appreciation and gratitude for this man and his teachings ❤️❤️❤️

Brilliant Arguments to Accept What Is
I resonate and love his Taoist-ish perspective to allow experience to flow through you. I disagree with his view to stay on a job or a relationship that has run its course (because it is only a resistance to dig deep that is causing us to want to move on). With the intention of being harmonized with the Way, sometimes we have to make decisions to bail in order to grow and expand our life expression.
So overall, I'm intrigued by the strength of arguments presented, but put off by the patriarchal tone.

Great thinker, but take what works for you
There’s definitely wisdom in Singer’s teachings, but eventually I felt like he ends up talking at you with a belittling tone. This was about when I noticed the strong undertones of his worldview and gnosis, which are pretty much portrayed as a one and only option. I’m content just sticking with the original Untethered Soul and referring back to it from time to time.

Condescending
I couldn't finish this book. The author sounds condescending and unscripted. Occasionally, he would say something and chuckle (as if he just realized how brilliant that statement was). He makes it sound as if the solution is simply changing your view. He states that stress is the result of either fear or desire. The problem is you - either resisting what's happening or wanting something that isn't there. While ultimately it may boil down to that, this book doesn't deliver that message well.

Deep insights about work from Michael Singer
There are two distinct sections to this audible. The first seems to be a more generic message from one of Michael’s teaching sessions. So it’s not directly tied to work. The second part has fabulous insights and practices that he used as he was building his company and there are many helpful “how to’s.”
I frequently listen to his regular teaching messages. What I like about this is the way he shared insights to the way he showed up at work and related to it, with extremely helpful recommendations on how to be present, how to be fulfilled no matter what the circumstances, and how to really fulfill our purpose in the universe through the work we do. I love to share this teaching with my friends.
