As someone who was a little critical of the past few books in the series this is a return to what we love.

The new characters add some gravitas to the story which is great to see. The development of relationships between all the players is amazing. The ending just leaves you waiting to see what happens next.

Bring on the next (thankfully longer) instalment.

I love all RR Haywood‘a books and have really enjoyed this latest series. The battle for Winchester is sooooo good with great fights and brilliant characters. I laughed out loud and felt feelings and can’t wait for the next audible release.

this book is a culmination before a revelation. in fairness, and yet... and yet. it somehow manages to balance the action, characters & has tonnes of undead charm flowing throughout the book. a great achievement by mr haywood, yes indeed.
