Story
It’s been 120 years since the 50 or so worldships containing the few million survivors of the human species set off after the planet Earth was destroyed by a meteor. On the Worldship Humility, Sam, a 30-year-old Airlock Operative, is bored. Living in space should be exciting and full of adventure, except it isn’t, and he fills his time hacking 3-D movie posters and holographic adverts outside the stores in the retail zone. Petty thief Yasmine Emile Dufont is also from the WS Humility, but she is not bored....

A mutating plague is spreading. It's killing two of every three people on Earth. And Mike Crenshaw is totally unprepared. From the world of The Traveler Series comes a new cast of characters, new obstacles, and the same devastating, world-altering virus which plunges society into the depth of a dystopian hell. Unprepared begins in the hours before The Scourge takes hold. As if ripped from today's headlines, governments react too slowly and the disease spreads too fast. Quarantines don't work. Infrastructure fails. People die.

The world is suddenly thrown into chaos as a research project is sabotaged and the dead come alive to feast on the living - it seems like an old story, doesn’t it? The Apocalypse Crusade is not that book. You are not suddenly thrust into a world gone mad. Instead, you get front-row seats to how the sh-t went down. In real time you are witness to the agony and the horror…and the terrible stupidity that made it all possible.

I give up
I’ve managed to get to book 15 and sorry to say that’s it for me. The storyline is just so predictable and full of fillers. The fights are virtually the same, each time it’s truly against impossible odds but they always win without loss. I think this series could have been a good book but no more.

Joe Jameson is a star bringing the characters alive ( even the undead ones)
Joe Jameson is a star bringing the characters alive ( even the undead ones) with outstanding detail to dialectical range and pitch and he has obviously done his homework regarding the characterisations ranging from the military command voices to the 'posh' voice of Lilly and the brutal edgy language of feral youths whom Maddox leads. There are of course some really gruesome descriptions in the writing but as RR Haywood has stated the series is firmly placed in the horror genre of descriptive writing.
It is a long series but RR Hayward manages to keep the saga edgy despite some of the characters adolescent ramblings regarding love.

Starting to get repetitive and lazy writing
There are some moments of genius in this episode but it is frustrating when the author displays great laziness in his writing, a lot of unnecessary repetition which does nothing positive for the story. It does feel as if the series is running out of steam. I'll reserve judgement until the next episode. Jameson has really got on top of the narration now and he is excellent, especially Cookey and Blowers. Still worth listening to but I skipped a lot of chapters.

Incorrect audio ... 2 months, no change
I’ve been enjoying this series but have stopped until audible fix the incorrect recording. Two months after reporting and no fix. This audio is of an earlier part of the story making it pointless to continue without losing chunks of the story line - something so easy to fix should not take two months - poor service

To Much Feminism
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Feminist would love this audio book and so would antifa.
Which is sad , because I liked the series up until this book , I gave all the other books
4 or 5 stars.
Besides the extreme Feminism in this book , their are a lot of plot holes and Random Strangers who pop into the story with no explanation and the Group just Trust that person for No Reason ??? Does Not Make Any Sense -- But Yet people they actually do know
and have known for a long time - They all of the sudden don't trust ?? Doesn't make sense.
Extreme Filler for long periods and Cliche dialogue we've heard in the other books,
Don't get me wrong there were some very funny parts But when you know how the
Formula / Style of the writer then you can basically guess what is going to happen minute by minute and that in itself isn't a bad thing... just becomes a little ho hum.
What do you think your next listen will be?
The Next book in the series of course, Hoping it will be better than this one.
Would you be willing to try another one of Joe Jameson’s performances?
Joe Jameson is an Awesome Narrator !! He was not the problem.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Love the Series and I always will... Out of the whole series only 1 bad egg, it's not a big deal for me.
Any additional comments?
I hope the series continues for many years to come.

If you have listened to the series far enough to be considering the purchase of part 15, then I do not need to convince you how awesome it is, you already know.
This portion, like the rest is captivating and full of the antics of our beloved team. Some new folks come along, and some folks go. To say more will ruin it for you.

I absolutely love these books!
This is my favorite series. Never has one of these books disappointed and this is no different. I am excited to move on to book 16, however, I'm going to pause and give the spin-off a listen. If you are debating as to whether or not to listen to this series - don't hesitate! It is the most entertaining series out there.
