Editor reviews

George Guidall's professionalism and talent are evident in every minute of this classic Western. Gray's epic tale of building the first transcontinental railroad is peopled with finely drawn characters like hero Warren Neale; his partner, Larry Red King; and his girlfriend, Allie Lee - plus numerous miners, railroad workers, and Indians. Guidall's charming soft accents and unique vocal characterizations add to the tension and drama of the struggles these strong characters face. He maintains consistency for characters of various ages, genders, and backgrounds. During narrative passages, Guidall's command of audiobook performance is especially noteworthy.
