Summary

Reimagined for audio, The Twits is one of Roald Dahl's most joyful tales. Full of vibrant characters and sneaky plot twists, children of all ages will be entertained to the last word.

Penguin presents a marvellous new recording of Roald Dahl's The Twits, read by IT Crowd star Richard Ayoade. The audiobook features original music.

Mr Twit is a foul and smelly man with bits of cornflake and sardine in his beard. Mrs Twit is a horrible old hag with a glass eye. They've kept Muggle-Wump monkeys caged in the garden for far too long, and now the monkeys want to take their revenge....

Fun and Enjoyable Listen!

I remember reading this in primary school, and since I was (and still am) a fan of Roald Dahl's work, I thought I would re-live some of my childhood.

Very funny and enjoyable story that lasts just under an hour which I listened to whilst out for an evening walk. Definitely recommended for children of primary school age, and those that want to re-live a bit of nostalgia. Also, entertaining narration from Richard Ayoade.

VERY expensive for an hour

Nothing wrong with story or delivery of the story. But it’s a rip off for an hour of story telling and Amazon should be ashamed at the price or, failing that, their inability to negotiate a fairer price for its customers with the principal.

I liked when they shrank. Isabella aged 4.

Mr and Mrs Two are nasty and the book is funny because Mr Twit eats the food in his beard.

A great story for children from 4+

I loved it when they played tricks on each other. Especially the glass eye, wormy spaghetti and the frog in the bed! (Ania)

I loved the animal trick and the tricks Mr and Mrs Twit did to each other (Lukas)

Best narrator.

Fantastic narration for this classic Roald Dahl story. An easy five stars, from our eight year old listener.
