About this listen
THEY CALL HIM THE DUKE OF MURDER... The gossips whisper that the new Duke of Murdoch is a brute, a murderer, and even worse--a Scot. They say he should never be trusted alone with a woman. But Megan Windham sees in Hamish something different, someone different.
No one was fiercer at war than Hamish MacHugh, though now the soldier faces a whole new battlefield: a London Season. To make his sisters happy, he'll take on any challenge--even letting their friend Miss Windham teach him to waltz. Megan isn't the least bit intimidated by his dark reputation, but Hamish senses that she's fighting battles of her own. For her, he'll become the warrior once more, and for her, he might just lose his heart.
Critic reviews
"The hero of The Trouble with Dukes reminds me of Mary Balogh's charming men, and the heroine brings to mind Sarah MacLean's intelligent, fiery women... This is a wonderfully funny, moving romance, not to be missed!"—Eloisa James, New York Times bestselling author of My American Duchess
"Sexy heroes, strong heroines, intelligent plots, enchanting love stories...Grace Burrowes's romances have them all."—Mary Balogh, New York Times bestselling author
"The Trouble with Dukes has everything Grace Burrowes's many fans have come to adore: a swoonworthy hero, a strong heroine, humor, and passion. Her characters not only know their own hearts, but share them with fearless joy. Grace Burrowes is a romance treasure."—Tessa Dare, New York Times bestselling author

"Exquisite writing, outstanding characters, a gorgeous romance, and a nailbiter of an ending. THE TROUBLE WITH DUKES is the definition of a perfect historical romance!"—Fresh Fiction
"Intrigue and suspense keep the pages turning, as does the romance.... Many scenes will delight Burrowes' fans, as the extended Windham family is as nosy, matchmaking, and protective as always. Readers who enjoy Tessa Dare will embrace the realistic problems and humor Burrowes presents throughout this affecting and clever tale."—--Booklist
"Spot-on sibling and cousinly interactions keep the pace lively and the mood funny and upbeat in this engaging, sensual romance. Gorgeously written and thoroughly delightful, this is a wonderful start to a new (but in some ways, continuing) series."—Library Journal
"Burrowes has a knack for giving fresh twists to genre tropes and developing in unexpected and delightful directions."—Publishers Weekly
"A warm and satisfying read, full of family love, romance, a truly loathsome villain, and a delightful happy ever after for a most deserving couple."—Fresh Fiction
I do wonder how all the females get in such trouble, still a story has to have a cause.
However, the Hero and Heroine in this story make a good couple.
Each dealing with their own demons, yet managing to connect.
The story is easy to listen too and believable.
The secondary characters are well know, with a few new ones. In all bringing depth to the story and entertainment.
Enjoyable
