Darcy Wright is a closeted lesbian who has been infatuated with her best friend, Taylor, since junior high. Camryn Eyde's two parter is beautifully narrated by Nikki.

This is a insightful intelligent tale of love and understanding with a backdrop of medical school with its brutally long hours of study and training.

Camryn takes in the panorama from the evolution of high school BFFs, crushes to self discovery. She has you invested in the characters that bring this tale to life in all its messy glory.

There are tough themes to be aware of but Camryn's writing is unflinchingly caring and giving. We learn through Darcy's clumsily maturing eyes and misteps. This bears the weight of the angst which, rooted in the story, makes its resolution part of Darcy's journey and not a frustrating artifice.

This is a rewarding listen with charcters from very different life experiences. There's humour and friendship and a great romance.

Two books but one beautiful interlinked story about growing into adult lesbian women and doctors. These books have everything: humour, hot sex, friendship, misunderstandings, tears, heart ache and joy. Though, most of all, they speak about the development of trust and profound love.

Camryn Eyde is an accomplished writer, a great storyteller who is able to convey the detail of emotion particularly well. The narrator did a really good job too.

beautiful tale of an innocent pure but clumsy young woman who wants to be a doctor, meets a tortured soul at med school, there is every emotion possible as these women maneuver between study and hearts, so sad so funny so utterly lifelike.
