About this listen

The Time Police. A fascinating adventure of time travel and saving the world, whilst touching on some of mankind's most important events, from the signing of the Magna Carta, to the storming of the bastille, from the granting of women's rights, to America's Emancipation Proclamation. These events are wonderfully woven into the journey of two young teenagers, as they discover the elusive DATTpolice (Date and Time Travel police) Emily and Ryan live in 21st century London suburbia.

They discover and help a wounded man in the park dressed as if from the Regency period, in fact he was from the Regency period. It was Paul Lanchris - a DATTpoliceman. In gratitude for their help, he gave them a very special watch that stopped time for whoever was wearing it, for 60 seconds. But that is just the beginning. Emily and Ryan find themselves embroiled along with the DATTpolice in a search for the evil Draco, their arch enemy who is set on changing history. Working with "The Captain" they travel through time risking their lives in the prehistoric period and narrowly escaping the talents of Madame Guillotine during the Storming of the Bastille. Join the young couple and all the colorful characters from the DATTpolice on their journey, as they attempt to save the world.

i didn't realise this was for children. i expected YA, which i often enjoy despite being a rather OA, however this was way too childish. I don't know why the title details don't specify this as it's probably missing its target audience who'd probably enjoy it.

this is a children's book
