What happened?

I like these books but....... Who is Reyna? Wasn’t her name Ravena? Also, why did we change Lucien’s voice? Sorry but I don’t like the new guy. Also. Who is Dem-it-or? Isn’t it pronounced De-meat-Er? Why were pronouncements changed in this book? I like the books but this was a standout (and annoying) and I’m sure these things are in the next books as well.

What gives with all the names pronounced wrong?

Story is ok. Reading was bad especially considering it is inconsistent with the previous three books. Hearing most of the names pronounced like a elementary student guessing words they don't know at a spelling bee is pretty annoying.

Narrators changed

I’m not amused with the sloppy work of the replacement narrators fir the continuation of the series. The mispronunciation of well known characters is disappointing. Not sure I’ll continue listening.

Too Much Complaining

I loved books 1 - 3 but I am having a hard time listening to book 4. I know sometimes they have to find a new person to narrate but it was a bit of a let down seeing as this person pronounced names and things differently than the person in the first three books.

I am sorry but Blue/Melony complained entirely too much for me in this one.

I still like the premise of the story so I will try and continue.

New Narrator needed

Enjoyed the story but found the female narrator distracting she repeatedly mispronounced words and names.

not as good as 1-3

The reader messes up names. really ruins the immersion. I don't know if it's her fault or if that's what she was given to read.

Decent story but performers pronounce things differently

The performers pronounce names differently then previous books. And Nice France is pronounced incorrectly. But if you can get past those it's a decent listen.

frustrating

Let me begin by saying the story itself is actually quite interesting. However, the reading is very disappointing. On several occasions names of characters are mixed up and you have to stop and think to make sense of what is happening. Not to mention the readers penchant for mispronounced names and words. The overall effect is disconcerting. I would also like to point out that it sounds like your smoke detector needs new batteries. The chirping in the recording had me searching my own house for the problem. I don't think this particular book is worth the credit I spent to purchase it. Highly recommend the author make a new recording.

The narrator killed this book. Rest in Peace

I loved the first three books and honestly purchased them because the narrator Vanessa Moyen is one of my favorites. Those three books were really good. I listened to them so fast and was excited to see there were more books. Sadly I noticed that they changed the narrator, which made me hesitate. Regardless I went ahead and got book 4 and tried really hard to get through it but the story is so slow and it feels like the main character just wines the entire book. However, regardless of how slow the story was the final nail in the coffin of this book is the horrible narrator. Bless her heart but she mispronounced so many words it was painful. After pronouncing Demeter and the city of Nice incorrectly over and over again ... I found myself yelling out loud the correct pronunciations ... like she could hear me. So I finally just gave up on this book and this series. I'm off to find another series that Vanessa Moyen narrates so I can stop being annoyed at this book.
