About this listen

The third and final instalment in the fairy-filled Thirteen Treasures trilogy, full of fairies, magic and pure adventure from Waterstones Children's Book Prize winner Michelle Harrison.

Red's past won't stay hidden. She's now living at Elvesden Manor under her real name, Rowan, and trying to put her terrible adventures behind her. But staying out of trouble isn't as easy as she'd hoped.

Haunted by awful dreams of Hedgewitch's cottage – and of Eldritch, who swore revenge when she left him there to die – Red fears the fairy realm is about to draw her back in . . .

But, will she make it back, this time? Or will dark forces finally claim her?

The perfect series for fans of Katherine Rundell and Sophie Anderson!

Fantastic storyline, wonderful characters. However, as it's a kids story, I was unsettled by some of the character's evil and some of the gruesome acts. If you have sensitive children pehaps consider reading/listening first to decide for yourself if/when your child would be happy with it.

gripping but gruesome at times

I don't normally write reviews but this book and the previous 3 books in this collection have been an absolute pleasure to listen to. it's got everything you need for you to escape realism for a while, forget about your worries and slip into an exciting fantasy world filled with faries, Goblins, magic, mystery and suspense.
I don't want to spoil the story plot for anyone so all I'll say is it's a story that will make you laugh and make you cry. The author has done such an amazing job that you find yourself rooting for these imaginary characters to come out on top. The old good verses Bad with a twist. The author and the narrator have managed to bring these characters alive. I found myself picturing the characters and where they lived in my mind, so clearly I felt I'd been there hi should she wish to.
I for one am looking forward to hearing and reading any further adventures and exploits the author may decide to steer the characters in to, along with any new characters and mysteries.
Definitely worth the money or credit fohr each of the books in this series and I will recommend this book to my friends and my teenage daughters friends along with other books by this author

fantastic story/ series definitely worth a listen
