I keep going back and forth about this but I cannot deny that I was incredibly bored half the time. The other half I was wondering what about the story made me keep listening - until the ending when a lot of it made more sense. Still, I just didn't click with any of the characters, especially not for the first half of the book. The second half was definitely better but I'm glad I got through it. Currently listening to the 2nd book which is off to a much better start. Here's hoping!

I wasn't sure what ti expect from this story - I really enjoyed it. Narrator had a voice that reminded me of Tom Hiddleston - which is a bonus

Lovely story well told

I really liked the twists and turns in the story which was told with a lot of humour. I have read the books but this was even better.
The narrator was very good. Normally I listen with the sound turned to 1.05 or even 1.10 speed if the narrator puts on a I AM SPEAKING SLOWLY AND CLEARLY voice, but this guy spoke at a good pace.

Clever story

I loved everything about this book. Characters, plot, narration... it got me hooked up from beginning to end, it was a very pleasant and enjoyable read. The only problem is that it's too short! I'd been listening to a +90h trilogy so was surprised to finish The Thief so soon ha! Looking forward to listening to the next ones
