Summary
This short work by Mathers forms an essential introduction to the structural and esoteric aspects of the Tarot. The author was one of the three founders of the influential 19th century secret society the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. Three methods of reading cards are discussed, as well as a traditional game of tarot.
Editor Jason Augustus Newcomb has extensively rendered the text more friendly for modern audiences, as well as added additional notes, commentary, and additional supplementary material.
